Job Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance:
 
•Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those specific to the education industry.
•Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that affect the firm and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
 
2. Policy Development:
 
•Develop and update the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.
•Ensure that all staff are aware of and understand these policies through training and communication.
 
3. Risk Management:
 
•Identify and assess potential compliance risks.
•Develop strategies to mitigate these risks, including implementing internal controls and monitoring mechanisms.
 
4. Training and Education:
 
•Provide regular training to staff on compliance-related topics.
•Ensure that employees are aware of their responsibilities and the importance of compliance.
 
5. Internal Audits and Reviews:
 
•Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
•Investigate any compliance issues or breaches and take corrective actions as necessary.
 
6. Reporting and Documentation:
 
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
 
7. Consultation and Advice:
 
•Serve as a resource for staff and management on compliance-related issues.
•Provide guidance and advice on how to handle specific compliance situations or questions.
 
8. Incident Response:
 
•Respond to compliance incidents, including conducting investigations and reporting findings.
•Implement corrective actions and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.

 

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Admissions/ Compliance or related fields, preferably in the education sector or study abroad consultancy.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and university representatives.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
5. Proficiency in MS Office and Google Doc/ Sheet experience with admissions management software is preferred.

6. Knowledge of study abroad destinations, visa procedures, and international education systems is desirable.

7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

8. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.

Education

Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Admissions/ Compliance or related fields, preferably in the education sector or study abroad consultancy.
